September 9, 1925	Wilfred Guy Stocks was born in Clinton, OK - “My parents were Guy Silvius Stocks (July 11, 1901 - June 9, 1975) and Nellie Louella (Dunn) Stocks (March 31, 1905 - June 12,1993). I was born 1 1/2 miles East of Clinton, Custer County, OK in a two room house that was later to become the garage of the family home. Dad was a farmer and mother was a house keeper. Early Years: At the age of one my family moved to the Heap-of-Birds place on the Washata River, East of Clinton, Oklahoma. Memories are of playing along the river, playing in a tree fort, riding tricycle and wagon. During the depression years, several relatives lived in one room of our three room house and in the granary. When I was nine we purchased 14 acres from Soar-Woman and dad and grandpa Dunn built a house next to the house          Sisters, Ruth Ann Rogers (May 9, 1929) was born when I was 4 and Betty Jean Kiehn (January 21, 1935 - May of 1992) was born when I was 9. My chores consisted of chopping and picking cotton, shocking wheat and feed, running the go-devil, and cultivator (horse drawn), driving the tractor to cultivate and plow. Also, I was responsible for herding 23 milk cattle to and from the pasture each day; then I helped with the milking. Early Schooling A shy boy (me) was sent to a private kindergarten in Clinton to help with my socialization at the age of five. Grades 1 through 12 were accomplished in Clinton public schools. Memories are of walking to school along a dike of the Washata River and along highway 66 in the later years. Also, I began playing the trombone when I was in the 10th grade. I entered Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College to study music for a semester when I was drafted into the army (WW2)” Dad’s hobbies are Bridge, bowling, computers, trombone and jazz
June 5, 1929	Theodocia Amanda Gifford was born in Fredrick, OK - Parents Claude and China Gifford. Theo was 2 when Violet Ann was born on 7/17/31. She was 3 when W. C. was born on 4/5/33 and 5 when Lealon Dean was born on 3/19/35. Violet married Lee Holder, W. C married Loah Lee and Dean married Zella Marie (Powers). Mom’s hobbies include reading, bridge, reading, painting, reading, eating, reading recipes, gardening, cooking and entertaining. “I remember going to Frederick to see Mama Grace and stopping in Snyder to get bologna and bread and cookies for lunch. I can still remember how good those lunches tasted. Liked to read, always had a book in hand. Used to play paper dolls with dolls cut from Sears and Montgomery Ward Catalogues and furniture made from scrap wall paper. I would play in a closed up room (no AC) and sweat, the wind would blow the paper dolls and furniture so you had to have the windows closed. We had a merry go round in our side yard that we played on. On the 4th of July Daddy always got a wooden case of pop, and we always had sparklers to play with when it got dark.”
1942 - 1943	Guy Stocks worked part time at JC Penneys as a Salesman
Sept 1943-Jan 1944	Guy Stocks attended Oklahoma A&M in Stillwater, OK
Feb 1944-May 1946	Guy Stocks was drafted and entered the army. Basic training was in Combat Engineers at Bend, OR and    Was in a Replacement Camp at Mead, CA. Sent to Hawaii as a weapons specialist. Sent to Armor group at Schofield Barracks (dance band) Sent to Artillery group in Leyte (dance band) Assigned to Army Band in Luzon
Sept 1946-July 1950	Guy Stocks attended Oklahoma A&M receiving a Bachelor Music Education
May 1947	Theo Gifford graduated from Clinton High School (The Tornadoes), Clinton, OK - Theo worked at the 5 and 10 Store on Saturdays during high school. After high school she worked at the telephone company as a telephone operator - started in Clinton and then transferred to Stillwater and worked nights there until Chyna was born in 1950.
January 30, 1948	Guy and Theo Stocks married in Clinton, Oklahoma at the First Christian Church – Living in Stillwater, Oklahoma where Guy is attending Oklahoma A&M at Stillwater
1949	Guy and Theo Stocks learned to play Bridge while Guy was in college. The learned the game with Norma and CG Arnold. While reading Culbertson bridge books and using Bidding wheel. CG played in dance band with WG.
February 6, 1949	Linda Jean Stocks, daughter of Guy and Theo, was born in Stillwater, OK
July 9, 1950	Chyna Nel Stocks, second daughter of Guy and Theo, was born in Stillwater. Chyna is named after her Grandma China and Grandma Nellie. After Chyna was born, Theo worked as a mom until moving to Hastings, NE.
September, 1950	Guy and Theo Stocks and family move to a shotgun style duplex in Chilocco, Oklahoma. Guy worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs as the math teacher and band director.
December 9, 1951	Mary Jane Stocks, third daughter of Guy and Theo, was born in Stillwater, OK
________ 1952?	The family moved down the block to the Grant’s house (on Sac and Fox Road?)
July 18, 1953	Alyce Ann Stocks, fourth daughter of Guy and Theo, was born in Stillwater, OK. Alyce was named after her Great Aunt Alice.   The 4 girls have many memories growing up - swinging, climbing trees, a big tire sandbox, riding a huge tricycle, long car rides where we sang the entire time, don’t cross that line - she‘s touching me - are we there yet, dark night hide, playing 13, going to Clinton to see grandma and grandpa, touring Washington DC, moving from state to state, Topaum’s, Avery’s, & Keller’s, ZsaZsa, giggling and telling secrets, sticking together like glue, dancing to American Band Stand, Saturday mornings watching TV - Sky King, My Friend Flicka, and Black Beauty, and the Mouseketeers after school, playing jacks, roller skating, sharing bedrooms, playing with paper dolls and high heel dolls, baking Christmas goodies, icicles on the Christmas tree, eating Red Beans and Glorified Hamburgers, sharing a one bedroom apartment, getting blankets for Christmas, a new dress for canteen, Christmas programs, talking on the phone in the coat closet, Monopoly in the basement, playing in band, and sharing clothes. We also remember a house full of love and parents who have always been there and supported us - no matter what!
May 1955	Guy Stocks graduates with a MS Degree in Secondary Education from Oklahoma State University
Fall 1955	Linda Stocks starts 1st grade at Chilocco employees school
Fall 1956	Chyna Stocks starts 1st grade at Chilocco employees school
December 1956	Linda, Chyna, Jane and Alyce Stocks got their first dog for Christmas. The girls sat in a circle and closed their eyes. There she was with a big bow around her neck. An adorable Pomeranian named ZsaZsa - she lived until Alyce was in junior high. She is buried wrapped in a doll blanket beneath the oak tree at Mom and Dad’s.
Fall 1957	Jane Stocks starts 1st grade. The Chilocco school has closed so Linda (3rd grade), Chyna (2nd grade) and Jane go to Francis Willard Elementary in Arkansas City, Kansas. We had a skunk under our house while we were baking peanut butter cookies - what a stink! (Linda still can’t eat pb cookies!). Linda also cut her foot while playing fairies in the back yard and had to have stitches.
???	Guy Stocks gets his Masters degree in counseling
Spring 1959	Linda Stocks wins the Francis Willard Jacks Championship and went on to play in the city wide tournament (she didn’t place in that tournament)
1960-1961	Lived in Falls Church, Virginia - Guy Stocks worked for the Department of Interior in Washington, DC in Management Training. In 1961 Jane fell out of the tree in the back yard and had to have stitches in her leg
Winter 1960 – 1961	Linda, Chyna, and Jane Stocks were accosted by 2 teens wanting money. Linda was so angry when they grabbed Jane around the neck she started beating the boys with her purse. The boys were suitably cowed and ran off. We never did tell Mom and Dad. After all, we had taken care of it!!
1961	Mary Jane Stocks wins the Francis Willard Jacks Championship Tournment
1961-1962	Guy Stocks worked at the Chilocco Indian School, Chilocco, OK as Assistant Department Head of Guidance
June 1961	Stocks family move to Arkansas City, Kansas to an apartment until a house was available at Chilocco.
September 1961	Linda Stocks began Junior High in Arkansas City. Jane, Chyna and Alyce went to Francis Willard Elementary. When the house was available we moved to Chilocco. The house was on the golf course and had a cool creek to play in out back.
June 1962	Stocks family moved to Philadelphia, Mississippi. Guy worked for the Choctaw Indian School as a Reservation Specialist Guidance
June 1963	Stocks family moved to Flandreau, South Dakota, - Guy worked for the Flandreau Indian School as the Department Head Guidance
November 24, 1963	William Claude Gifford (Theo’s dad) died of a blood clot. He is buried at the Arapaho Cemetery in Oklahoma
June 1964	Stocks family moved to 1345 Hewett Avenue, Hastings, Nebraska. Guy worked as a Counselor at the Hastings Senior High School. Theo worked at JC Penney's as a sales clerk in piece good and children's clothes and then worked in their office.
1965-1990	Guy Stocks attended Kearney State College and CCC for night classes and summer classes
Summer 1966	Guy Stocks attended Temple Buel College in Denver, CO
May 1967	Linda Stocks graduates from Hastings High School
Summer 1967	Guy Stocks attended Oklahoma State University
September 1967	Linda Stocks begins Kearney State College with a major in music and a minor in Spanish
September 9, 1967	Chyna Stocks and Stephen Hayes first date
May 1968	Chyna Stocks graduates from Hastings High School
Summer 1968	Guy Stocks attended Claremont Graduate School in Pamona, California. He came home with a head of hair, a mustache and some cool shades.
September 1968	Chyna Stocks begins at Kearney State College. Linda Stocks switches to Elementary Education and an endorsement in Special Ed
May 1969	Jane Stocks graduates from Hasting High School (was a Tigerette, and in Choir, was the lead in the musical “Flower Drum Song” and played Anne Frank in “The Diaries of Anne Frank”)
Summer 1969	Guy Stocks attended SUNY in Potsdam, NY
September 1969	Linda, Chyna and Jane Stocks attend Kearney State College
Summer 1970	Jane Stocks is hired as a Can-Can Girl at Front Street Tourist Attraction in Ogallala, NE
October 9, 1970	Chyna Nel Stocks and Stephen Jon Hayes (BD 12/4/1950) were married in the chapel of the First Presbyterian Church (reception followed at the home of Theo and Guy Stocks). Chyna and Stephen lived in Hastings, NE in the basement of a 4/plex apartment, a basement apartment close to Hastings College and a house on 8th and Oswego.
May 3, 1971	Guy Philip Hayes (son of Chyna and Stephen) was born at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE - Theo and Guy's first grandchild
May, 1971	Alyce Stocks graduated from Hastings Senior High School (was a majorette, and was active in pep club, and played clarinet and alto clarinet in band)
September, 1971	Alyce Stocks attended Central Community College in Hastings
January 20, 1972	China Ann Duval Gifford (Theo’s mom) died of a cerebral hemorrhage. She is buried at the Arapaho Cemetery in Oklahoma
May 1972	Linda Stocks graduates with a BA from Kearney State College   Stephen Hayes graduates from Hastings College. Stephen is employed by Firestone
September 1972	Linda Stocks moves to Madison, Nebraska to start a special education program for grades 7 – 12.
December 1972	Alyce Stocks graduated from Central Community College (Alyce worked at Jack & Jill and SunMart Grocery Store during high school and CCC)
January 1973	Alyce Stocks worked at the print shop at Central Community College - typing and editing course material
Winter 1973	Linda Stocks meets and becomes engaged to Lynn Hasselbring who is by then stationed at the Naval Air Station in Agana, Guam
April 1973	Alyce Stocks started work at Vocational Rehabilitation Services
June 1973	Linda Stocks moves to Guam
June 18, 1973	Linda Stocks married Lynn Hasselbring in the chapel at the Naval Air Station in Agana, Guam.
September 1, 1973	Alyce Stocks married Dean Ray Mosier (BD 10/24/1950) at the 1st Presbyterian Church in Hastings, NE - honeymoon in the Black Hills, South Dakota. Dean worked as a foreman at Kohtz Sales and Construction (erected grain bins and metal buildings). Lived in a 1 bedroom VERY small home at 2030 W 7th,  Hastings, NE - had a Britney Spaniel named Dude
September 1973	Linda Hasselbring taught in the San Miguel Elementary (first and then second grade) for the next two years. She then became the coordinator for a Title I project in the Guam central school system for one year.
Fall 1973	Chyna, Stephen Hayes and little Guy moved to Council Bluffs, IA and rented a house owned by Stephen’s aunt and uncle. Stephen was employed by Firestone in the downtown Omaha store.
Fall 1973	Jane Stocks and Bill Goble meet. Bill attended Hastings College and Jane worked as a respiratory technician at Hastings Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.
Spring 1974	Bill Goble graduated from UNL with a BS in Biology
June 15, 1974	Jane Stocks marries  Bill Goble in the First Presbyterian Church in Hastings, NE
1974	Dean Mosier is a partner with his dad at Mosier Construction. Built our first home at 425 Queen City in Hastings
June 9, 1975	Guy Silvius Stocks (Guy’s dad) died of prostate cancer. He is buried at the Stafford Cemetery in Oklahoma
Summer 1975	Chyna and Stephen Hayes bought their first home in Omaha, NE
September 15, 1975	Theren Jon Hayes (second son of Chyna and Stephen) was born
Fall 1975	Bill Goble attends Dental School at Lincoln, NE
November 1975	Chyna, Stephen, Guy and Theren Hayes moved to Neligh, NE where Stephen was employed by Leon McCoy in a tax/accounting firm   Jane “broils” all of Thanksgiving Dinner
December 7, 1975	Myles Brandon Goble (son of Jane and Bill) was born in Lincoln, NE
July 1976	Linda and Lynn Hasselbring moved back to Nebraska. Linda took a special education teaching job for Educational Service Unit #10 and lived in Ord, Nebraska. Linda and Lynn were divorced after 1 year in Ord. Linda stayed in Ord and taught special education in the elementary and then in the Junior Senior High for 2 additional years.
December 1977	Linda Stocks received her Masters Degree in Education from Kearney State College
December 28, 1977	Meghan Brooke Hayes (daughter of Chyna and Stephen) was born
1978	Theo quit at Penneys. Theo and Guy added a kitchen and family room to their house
1978 - 1979	Theo took accounting and typing classes at CCC
June 1978	Linda Stocks moved to Lincoln, Nebraska. She worked as a special education consultant and supervisor with the Nebraska Department of Education for the next 22 years.
July 1979	Linda met and began dating Steven Schafer
July 17, 1978	Timothy Jacob Goble (son of Jane and Bill) was born in Lincoln NE (has Billy Ruben)
1979	Bill Graduated from Dental School and joins the US Army. He is stationed in Augusta, Georgia and completed a one year residence in Dental Family Practice
Fall 1979-Jan 1981	Chyna Hayes taught preschool at a church in Neligh
1980	Dean and Alyce Mosier moved to the 2nd home Dean built at 422 S Bellevue, Hastings, NE   Jane and Bill Goble move to South Korea as first duty station in the Army
May 1980	Linda and Steve Schafer purchased a home 2635 Ryons Street in Lincoln, Nebraska
August 2, 1980	Steven and Linda Schafer were married at the Unitarian Church in Lincoln, Nebraska
October 10, 1980	Jennifer Christie Goble (DOB 6/2/1980, daughter of Jane and Bill) was adopted in Seoul, South Korea
January 1981	Chyna, Stephen, Guy, Theren and Meghan Hayes moved to Broken Bow. Stephen worked for Sargeant Pipe. The Hayes family lived at the airport house from January 1981 until late summer of 1981 when a house in town was bought.
Fall 1981	Amelia “Mia” Catherine Goble (DOB 1/17/78), daughter of Jane and Bill) was adopted in Busan, South Korea
Fall 1981-Spring 1985	Chyna Hayes drove a school bus for Broken Bow Public Schools. During the Spring of 1982, Chyna commuted to college at the University of NE at Kearney to complete her degree.
1982	Jane and Bill Goble move back to the US with their new family and lived and Colorado Springs, CO – Fr. Carson
1983-1984	Dean Mosier is the Chancellor Commander of the Hastings Knights of Phythias
June 7, 1983	Erich Stocks Schafer (son of Linda and Steve) was born in Lincoln, NE
November 14, 1983	Thomas Oscar Mosier (son of Alyce and Dean) was born at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE
November 1983	Bill Goble attends jump school and Jane and the four kids stay with Theo and Guy for 3 weeks
1984	Theo Stocks worked in the Library at Hastings Senior High School (selected books for the library - catalogued books and worked in the magazine room).
January 1984	Bill and Jane Goble and family move to San Antonio, TX for six months and got to know Gydel Porter (Rogers)  (1st cousin) who also lived in San Antonio
July 1984-1986	Bill, Jane and family are stationed in Ft. Hood, TX
November 13, 1985	Ryan Stock Schafer (son of Linda and Steve) was born in Lincoln Nebraska
1986 – Spring of 1988	Bill and Jane Goble and family are stationed in Ft. Greely, Alaska. Guy and Theo went to see them in Alaska – it is Theo’s first time ever on an airplane and boat
March 1986	Stephen Hayes began working in Grand Island at Overhead Door Company.
May 1986	Chyna Hayes and family moved with Stephen to Grand Island
Fall 1986	Chyna Hayes student taught for GI Public Schools
December 1986	Chyna Hayes graduated from UNK
Spring 1987	Chyna Hayes substituted for GIPS
Summer 1987	Chyna Hayes worked for GIPS as a preschool/handicapped teacher

1988	Dean Mosier started work at the Adams County Roads Department as a Bridge Inspector
Spring 1988	Bill and Jane Goble and family move back to the lower 48’s to Ft. Riley, Kansas
Summer 1990	Bill and Jane Goble purchase their first home, 1408 Overlook Dr., Manhattan, KS
September 1991	Linda Schafer takes the position of Kidz Choir Director at Aldersgate United Methodist Church
April 2, 1992	Kaitlyn Mackenzie, daughter of Guy Hayes and Theresa Engel was born in Lincoln, NE (Chyna and Stephen’s 1st grand child)
March 17, 1993	Theo Stocks had a heart attack
April 13, 1993	Theo Stocks had bypass surgery
May 1993	Theren Hayes graduated from Northwest High School in Grand Island, NE
June 12, 1993	Nellie Louella Dunn Stocks (Guy’s Mom) died of a heart attack. She is buried at the Stafford Cemetery in Oklahoma
Fall 1993	Chyna Hayes began teaching kindergarten at Gates Elementary in Grand Island
May 1994	Theo Stocks retired from Hastings Senior High School
May 1994	Myles Goble graduated from Manhattan High School in Manhattan, KS
Summer 1994	Bill Goble, Jane and family moved to Rolla, MO. Myles attended Oral Roberts University
September 3, 1994	Guy Hayes and Theresa Engel were married in Lincoln, NE
May 1996	Meghan Hayes graduated from Northwest High School in Grand Island Mia Goble graduated from Manhattan High School in Manhattan, KS. She then attended Oral Roberts University
Spring 1996	Chyna Hayes received her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane College
Spring 1997	Theresa received her BA degree in Elementary Education/Special Education from UNL
May 1997	Tim Goble graduated from Rolla High School in Rolla, MO and then attended Southwest Baptist University in the fall
December 1997	Theren received his BA Degree in Elementary Education from UNK
February 21, 1998	Zakhary Stephen Hayes, son of Guy and Theresa, was born in Lincoln, NE
May 1998	Myles graduated Suma Cum Lade from Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, OK with a bachelors Degree in Chemistry/Pre-med
July 19, 1998	Myles Goble and Heather Wheeler were married in Tulsa, OK and moved to Rolla, MO for a year
October 10, 1998	Tim Goble and Nicole Walker were married in Rolla, MO
December 1998	Theren Hayes received his BA Degree in Elementary Education from UNK
January 10, 1999	Noah Jacob Goble, son of Tim and Nikki, was born in Rolla, MO (Jane and Bill’s first grandchild)
May 30, 1999	Jennifer Goble graduated from Rolla High School, Rolla, MO
June 1, 1999	Stephen Hayes began working for American Freightways (which later became FedEx Freight) as their out bound freight manager.
Summer 1999	Tim, Nikki and Noah Goble move to Kansas City, MO where Tim and Nikki attended University of Missouri Kansas City
May 2000	Colonel Bill Goble retires from United States Army in Ft. Leonardwood, MO after 21 years of service
June 2000	Jane, Bill and Jennifer Goble move to Hutchinson, KS. Bill is an associate dentist with Grant Ringler
May 2001	Mia Goble graduated from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK with a Bachelors Degree in French and Minor in Pre-med
June 2001	Erich Schafer graduated from Lincoln East High School
Late Summer 2001	Myles Goble was accepted into Medical School at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri
September 2001	Linda Schafer takes the additional adult choir position and is now the Director of Music at Aldersgate United Methodist Church
October 24, 2001	Theren Hayes and Sayaka Komori were married in a civil ceremony in Hastings, NE. Guy and Theo Stocks were their witnesses
May 2002	Tom Mosier graduated from Hastings Senior High School (he was an honor student and was active in football, soccer, weightlifting, baseball and intramural basketball. Tom took a trip with his Spanish class to Spain. He worked at The Buckle and Shopko during high school)   Jennifer Goble graduated Phi Theta Kappa from Hutchinson Community College with an Associated Degree in Applied Arts (Major Dental Hygiene) Hutchinson, KS   Tim and Nikki graduated from University Missouri Kansas City, MO both with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology
July 6, 2002	Theren Hayes and Sayaka Komori were married in the back yard of Theren’s parent’s home in Grand Island, NE
July 2002	Bill Goble purchases his own dental practice in Topeka, KS and moves to Topeka with Jane and Jennifer
April 21, 2003	Leydon Ayres Goble, second son of Tim and Nikki was born in The Colony, Texas
Spring 2003	Mia Goble moves to France to teach English. Jane and Bill went to France in December to spend Christmas with Mia
June 2003	Ryan Schafer graduated from Lincoln East High School
November 18, 2003	Dean Mosier had triple bypass surgery in Lincoln, NE
December 2003	Tom Mosier graduated with honors from Southeast Community College in Milford in Manufacturing Engineering
February 10, 2004	Ethan Myles Goble, first son of Myles and Heather was born in Columbia, MO

June 20, 2004	Kassidy Chyna Hayes, daughter of Guy and Theresa was born in Lincoln, NE

June 8, 2005	Gabriel Guy Goble, third son of Tim and Nikki was born in Texas
Spring 2006	Gabriel Goble is diagnosed with Kawasaki Disease
May 2006	Myles Goble graduated from the School of Medicine at the University of Missouri - Columbia
July 22, 2006	Meghan Hayes and Aaron Smith married in Chyna and Stephen’s backyard. They reside in Omaha, NE
August 12, 2006	Erich Schafer married Alicia Bowman (BD 2/2/1985) at First United Methodist Church in Lincoln, Nebraska
Summer 2006	Theren and Saya Hayes move to Seattle, WA
October 7, 2006	Isaac “Ike” Brandon Goble, second son of Myles and Heather was born in Columbia, MO

May 2007	Erich and Alicia Schafer graduated from Wesleyan University
June 2007	Erich and Alicia Schafer moved to rural Hooper, Nebraska. Alicia is a Deputy Sheriff in Dodge County. Erich is a paramedic commuting to Falls City, Nebraska
Summer 2007	Theresa Hayes received her MA in Curriculum and Instruction from Peru State College
August 2007	Tim Goble graduates from University of Dallas, Texas with his PhD in Neurology
Fall 2007	Theren Hayes received his MA in Instructional Technology from UNK

December 2007	Nikki Lewis (Ryan’s fiancé) graduated from the Univ of NE at Lincoln Nikki’s BD is 11/14/1984
January 2008	Ryan Schafer and Nikki Lewis moved to Vancouver, Washington, where Nikki is teaching elementary music and Ryan is bartending at a casino
January 30, 2008	Theo and Guy Stocks’ 60th Anniversary
July 5, 2008	Family Reunion - Celebrated Guy and Theo’s 60th Wedding Anniversary. ALL of the family attended!!
July 6, 2008	Erich Schafer moves to Kansas City, Kansas to begin a master’s degree in Bio/Medical Ethics
